Newer circuit board, where do these wires go?

For about a 20 year old Lionel GP with 2 motors. Was ran on DC only. Circiut board is about 1.5"x2.5".

  1. Blue & white wires going to switch which I think is for locking reverse unit.

  2. Top/middle there are brown & grey wires

  3. Top/left side red & black wires.

Guy at hobby shop thought the red & white wires went to the can motors. I want to be sure before hooking this all up.

What is the number on the side of the engine? Are the can motors vertical (i.e. they stick up above the frame) or are the horizontal (i.e. they lie down between the wheels inside the truck)?

The wiring diagram is probably on the Lionel web site but you would need to know the number of the engine. The one printed on the side of the cab can be used to get the actual part number to reference the diagrams.

Your scheme is correct. The gray wire has the ground lug in the above pic, brown goes to the center rail roller, black & red to the motors, blue & white are wired to the switch.

That circuit board looks similar. The can motors sit down sideways in the trucks.

Your screw parts numbers are similiar to supp 20 page 8.

Basically, sheet metal screws with a philips head.I would guess size 6 or 8, maybe smaller.
