Terry–
SWEEEET!! That’s one nice-looking Connie. I’ve got a Spectrum 2-8-0 (without DCC or sound, of course) and you’ll be happy with the way they run. And maybe pretty surprised at how WELL they haul. Mine’s a little champ when it comes to taking on a train–that little lady is a really respectable puller.
Enjoy.

That baby is too clean. You need to dirty it up some so it looks like it’s been out earning a living.
Very Nice

Terry–
I haven’t had that problem, but when I connected the wires to the tender, I made sure that they were tucked well ABOVE the drawbar so that they don’t droop down below and catch. Of course, you’ve got the DCC model, so you might have even MORE wires than I have (I have a 4-plug and a seperate 2-plug that fit over the drawbar pretty comfortably). I have my loco close-coupled–the second hole on the drawbar nearest to the cab–and I have pretty wide-radius curves (34-36") and #6 turnouts. If you’ve got smaller curves and turnouts, you might set your coupling at the longest hole, it might alleviate it.
Hope this helps.
