Kent city council approves building moratorium to protect beloved burger joint
Other than the fact that most fast food joints serve no healthy food, we need to defend them. Plus, I am sure the owners would be well reimbursed for having to move. They thank the NIMBY’s for the free advertising and will be first to protest while arranging a sale of the property.
This is only a temporary end-of-track until they extend the line to Tacoma in steps. It seems the facility would only have limited usefulness.
“Temporary” can be a surprisingly long time. Consider South Shore’s “temporary” platforms at Randolph Street which were built in 1926 and lasted until Millenium Park was built.
