I’ve heard of Mitch Markovitz and see some of his work, he does some great stuff, and it looks like he’s done it again.
Too bad he couldn’t work the North Shore into the poster, or the Carl Sandburg line “City of the big shoulders! Freight handler to the world!” but I guess you can only do so much without cluttering up the work.
Those circles with the “Y’s,” do those represent transit tokens?

Mitch used to be a regular contributor as “artmark”. The “Y” symbol has long been a representation of the City of Chicago, with the “Y” representing the Chicago River and its branches. It’s also used in the herald of the Belt Railway of Chicago.
Ah, I do love New York City centric assumptions…
I don’t think many tokens outside New York had a “Y” cutout (which, on the small tokens I remember from my childhood, were the “Y” in the stylized NYC stamped on them)

Yeah Mod-man, even after 32 years in Virginia I’m still a bit New York centric. What can I say? I still assume all street-bought hot dogs are supposed to taste like a Sabrett!
