I have had the chance to see an ET44AC-ES44AC start up eastbound after a crew change at Pokegama a couple of years ago. The ET44AC was noticably louder than the ES44AC, cracking off like a unit of Her Majesty’s Royal Regiment Of Artillery firing off ceremonial rounds of grapeshot from their 12-lbers.
That would be the Royal Horse Artillery, I believe… They are the artillery equivalent of the Foot Guards and Household Cavalry.
Anyone know why an ET44AC, a GE (Wabtec now I suppose [:(]) product would be delivered to CN by BNSF when NS serves the GE plant in Erie.

I suspect there are tax issuses involved in the location of formal delivery. There always have been since things such as sales and excise taxes were invented.
