Nice 682 0n E-Bay...expiring soon!!!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180116317288&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:US:12

It’s missing the oiler linkage but appears to have the holes drilled for it. Linkage is pretty cheap and readily available, so it would be a snap to replace it.

Don’t anyone stand in my way on this one. I’ve got blood in my eyes!!!

Jim

Jim: The vultures are already circling. I expect it to sell for around $250…maybe more. And that’s WITHOUT the linkage!!! [:O]

Jim: Did you win it???

I have the 681, how do you put the linkage on? where can i get the parts to do so?

Here we go again

Look in this thread. It has all the info you need:

I didn’t bid…

DOH!!! [(-D]

I got vulched on my B-unit for my Century Club F3 combo. DRAT! I bid at the suggested price in Greenberg, and then went to church. Got home and the guy outbid me by $2.50. Guess the man upstairs had a reason for me to not get it [:)]

Dep

I have the Williams version of the 671 and absolutely love it!

I wish Williams would make a repro of the Lionel 682. I bet it would sell like hotcakes. Most folks can’t afford a really nice Lionel 682, and those that can don’t really run them much because of collector value.

I don’t like the added side gear or the strips on the 682. Do you have a Williams turbine, Dep?

I like the side gear. But I guess it’s kinda fragile for kids to play with. That’s why so many are broken off. The MTH S2 has a pretty nice side gear (on the one that has it) and so do the two Lionel scale S2s. I don’t have a Williams S2 (yet). I plan on one for the future though. [tup]
