to all whom post here, came from another forum tired of the negativity so nice to come here and ask a question and not get hammered. just wanted to say thanks for making it friendly .
It’s not my fault this place is friendly (I don’t post enough to affect the mood) . I just wanted to say that your avatar is really neat. Can you post a larger version?

hello J White, unfortunatly no it was lost on harddrive that went to never never land. it actually was a Christmas card I scanned to computer. this forum is more quiet than other but nicer to visit. your in luck I found the cards would you like me to e-mail them to you? heres a video of a lionel GS-4 Legacy engine enjoy.
Welcome, CB&Q,
Your avatar is great and goes nice on this C.T.T. Forum.
Just like Christmas, Santa and Model Trains do.
Ralph
Welcome! I like what Ralph said. Feel free to drop in on the Coffee Pot thread and say hello too
Thanks, Doug,
That’s the way I feel with C.T.T., the staff, their articles and of course the forum members.
Ralph
Welcome. We try to be nice. Forgive us if we miss a post. We all get busy sometimes and rush in and out with only a hello at the Coffee Pot. Visit it and let us get to know you.
Welcome to the forum, yes it’s much quieter here and not everyone agrees about things but it usually stays civil. The most excitement that happens here is when someone drops in starts something and then drops out of site again. Welcome Oh don’t eat the grits.
So…How about that OBAMA fella??? Just kidding[;)] I have to agree with you that “other forum” gets kinda nasty sometimes. Welcome!!!

hello Ralph, glad you like the avatar I chose it because it reminds me of being a kid in the 50’s and the excitement of Christmas and lionel trains and the great indestructable tonka trucks. on a side note I remember a show that the main character had a sawed off shotgun and a toy manufacturer made one and it shot plastic bullets oh how I wanted one! Christmas morning there it was went outside shot it once it jamed and that was it broken then found a lasting fun toy under the tree a lionel 622 diesel switcher no cars a flashing rr crossing sign a long bridge a signal bridge and about a 10’ long oval of track it lasted a lot longer than the gun did !! okay I tried posting this pic and did accomplish it but for some reson I get 2 pics did I do something wrong?
I like the picture also. I remember wanting these for our christmas cards that year but was over ruled. We ended up with kittens playing in the snow or something like that.I was told I liked those better.I knew better than to argue.
CB&Q, saved the larger version of your Santa picture in my computer. Thanks for sharing.
!(http://cs.trains.com/trccs/forums/<a%20href="http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll26/CBQRR/magic%20photos/?action=view¤t=img004.jpg" target=“_blank”>)!(http://cs.trains.com/trccs/forums/<a%20href="http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll26/CBQRR/magic%20photos/?action=view¤t=img003.jpg" target=“_blank”>)well this has been an experience hope you like these too cheif eagles. I seem to be having a problem only posting one copy of each photo am using photo bucket not sure where I’m going wrong it would be so much easier to copy and paste from my pictures any ideas as to what I maybe doing wrong? also how does one delete a post here have one below I seen when you first post it gives you an option to delete but after you post it that seems to disappear.
was only trying to delete this one as somehow I got a duplicate of the above post. it can stay
Thanks for posting the pictures. I don’t see why this thread should be eliminated. The pictures are worthy of seeing twice [:)]
Thanks,
J White

CB&Q,
No apology needed.
All of your pictures are worthy of posting twice, as they’re very joyous, colorful and fun to look at.
I enjoy trains of all types whether ther’re real, or in model form.
My love of trains started from my father’s set and when the family took rides to see real trains in operation.
For Christmas of 1950 two of my Maternal Aunts ordered from Santa a Lionel Scout set for each of the four oldest male children in the family.
My brother and I we were happy to have our own train set, so we can play with them as long as we liked. I also liked guns, especially cowboy types, but as I got older, I found that the trains lasted longer and were more fun, than the guns.
Thank You,
Ralph
laz, I was on the pot thread briefly and thanks for the welcome. I figured folks here would like the photos ironically we received them in mail at Christmas time wanting to see if we’d buy cards from them we did and I hung on to a bunch of them will post more as time permits. I have 15 in all yet to go your all welcome to copy them I had them all on computer at one time they make nice desktop pics. enjoy, cbq
CB&Q,
This would be a great thread to post just after Thanksgiving. With all those Santa cards and all, people would really get into the train and holiday mood. A BIG CONGA on your pics.

We even get goofey now and then. But we can’t get him to bring the rest of the elves along with him.
