The youtube link worked for me. That is a cool commercial. My wife liked it too. I wonder how much effort went into making it. Most of us do not realize the cost of commercials like this one.
I’ve never seen a “haunted” model railroad before, but…
Here is a photo of a ghost. We took the picture this year at the Dover, England castle. The tour guide warned us this section of the castle was haunted. The picture is that of the inside of a tower, centering on the alcove. It was taken in natural light (no flash), and the ghostly figure wasn’t visible when the picture was taken.
On the Bachmann E-Z Command, there is a STOP button. If you hit it, and then hit it again to restore power to the tracks, sometimes the locomotive will slightly move (about 1 inch). Even though the throttle is turned all the way down to 0… lol[:D]
Not saying anything against you there on the ghost pic, but it looks more like a play on light. I don’t doubt you, just the sceptic me in kicking on this pic. I have heard about the castle though, if I’m not mistaken one of the ghost hunter shows (I don’t have cable or satellite or anything so I don’t even know how many ‘ghost hunter’ shows are out there right now) went to that castle. But as long as nothing got damaged I don’t think I would mind too much of a spirit decided to operate my trains. Heck I would probably just think I forgot to turn it off. If it starts happening I would quite a bit freaked out, since I don’t have any layout yet. I couldn’t imagine sitting in the living room watching TV and hearing a model train horn blowing from the back room when I know it’s empy.
If I find myself bound to this earthly plane after death, I’m definitely going to tour the world’s greatest model railroads and run the heck out of them. [angel]
In the meantime, I want a steam engine that shoots flames. [}:)]
MILW- You’re probaly thinking of Ghost Hunters International. The pic looks genuine to me. My wife and I are amature ghost hunters, and I’m very much the skeptic.
When I was a kid, I had a layout in my parents creepy basement. From time to time I’d hear noises that I couldnt explain and sometimes felt like someone was watching me.OOOOOHHHHHH.
Another funny and very realistic details with the guy giving that blonde the eye, Seriously, there must be more modlers per capita in Sweden as you never see ads like that in the States.
Off topic I know, but I too am an ametuer moderate (That is, I want to be more skeptical about things, but don’t have enough wisodm on physics et al to be able to explain things. Are you looking at the light streak on the center alcove? Or the matrixing in the above window that kinda looks like a human with a beard?
It is the white figure on the left side of the alcove (no “light streak” was visible there when the non-flash photo was taken)… Too bad we can’t zoom in on it here. The more zoom, the more the image looks humanoid.
