Nickel Plate Doubleheader

Excellent video as well as layout. Shows off a lot of skill in the details and variety. You can be quite proud of your work.
Go NKP!

Outstanding footage. Looks like the real thing. You would not have to go rail-fanning with a layout like this. Just pull up a chair and watch the train roll by.

Very realistic looking
Nice freight consist worthy of a doubleheader
Great layout

First class layout and video

Very impressive.

Great video like you scenery and train

nice, very nice.

Another great video. Thanks Bob.

Great layout and video. Thanks

Nice video. What degree of grades do you have on the layout? Two steam engines on 29 cars is very nice. Cool creek bed, nice job on the water.

Video just the right length, intro (and exit) music just long enough, then onto the stars of the show. Watching brings back memories of when I was younger and lived near a PRR rail yard and main line between N.Y. & Wash. D.C. and to Chicago (Sorry, I’m a Pennsy fan.) Great scenery, realistic running speeds and ample train length for justification of a double heading set of black beauties. Just two minor peeves (1st might be U-Tube’s problem:) it seemed as if the entire video was just a tad out of focus, could not “read” the logos/road names on the rolling stock or road power & caboose; also, seemed as if you were using the “grade crossing” warning whistle ( L L s L) for everything from crossings to tunnels to bridges. Just minor nit-picks (rates 4 of 5 stars) but over all a very nice video, keep up the good work.

Beautiful job! Nickel Plate Berkshires had their own sound, a staccato bark, and your layout shows them bringing produce to market in a hurry. Hard to believe it was a only one lifetime ago.

My layout has a 400 foot mainline on two levels with an extra level for the branchlines. Grades are no steeper than 2 percent but there are only two short sections of 2 percent. Most of the grades are 1.5%. The MTH engines can pull about 19 cars each on the ruling grade. Double headers or pushers are required for long trains. Minimum radius is 30 inches. I have a full CTC signal system running on JMRI. Thanks for the positive comments.

VERY PROFESSIONAL Both the layout and its presentation.
Appreciate your showing the entire train as it passed rather than jumping around, and thanks for using a tripod.

very good layout

Well Done

WOW, thought it was real. What a layout.

Everything was very impressive except the wispy little streams of white smoke. For all the detail we insist upon in our locomotives, why put up with what I saw? I’d much rather have no smoke than a pathetic imitation. Just my humble opinion.

Very well done in all aspects.
