NJ Transit Riverline needs to go just 2 more blocks to State Street.

The US Courthouse is right next door to the station and a Ghost Signal still shines at night to the right even though there is like 4 feet of brush on the tracks. Last custumer was the Trentonian Newspaper.( Yes I worked there then)

Interesting question. I strongly suspect the reasons for not doing this were carefully considered in the River Line planning, though; that looks like an expensive two blocks’ worth of improvement, and significant added risk of accident or inconvenience to road traffic, for … saving two blocks of walking for clients who ride mass transit to get to court.

It might be a different thing if all that were ‘involved’ were running a DMU a bit further on existing infrastructure, and letting 'em off interurban-style in the weeds.
