NJ Transit Secaucus Junction platforms to be lengthened
NJT is notorious for many reasons, prime one being with better equipment and plant, any collector of old timetables can demonstrate they run slower today than 5 decades ago. But another flaw they have is only opening doors on 1 or 2 cars of an 8 car train, specally in Dover, NJ. Why bother with long platforms? Even train buffs in NJ take the bus when time and money counts? All those fans who can afford a Super Bowl do their homework. Those specials will be empty.
Now if they would utilize the provision for a loop track from the lower level up to the NEC allowing for a one seat ride without transferring, that would be impressive.
