Not surprising, when New York MTA unionized employees make ~$300,000 per annum just across the Hudson, more than MTA CEO Pendergast (overpaid) makes.
Five years should have been more than ample time to settle this contract. WHERE HAVE THE FEDERAL MEDIATORS BEEN ? It may require some ’ give and take ’ on BOTH sides to settle this !
I hope there are contingency plans in place for that other 62% of the commuters, so they can get to their jobs !
