NJ Transit website issues raise concerns for Super Bowl

Just go back to the good old days of Lombardi and the Ice Bowl. Move the game to a city capable of dealing with real winters. That would have to be either Green Bay or Chicago. Play in the classic stadium or inside the space ship. Either way, transportation will be non-factor in those cities as they have these devices known as snow plows and they know how to use them. As for moving the half time show at the last minute, who cares? It’s a football game, not a Broadway musical. New York can keep the sissy stuff.

Can we blame the Governor for this jam?

If you like your present train…you’ll be able to keep it…If you like your current conductor…you’ll be able to keep him…Oh, wait…the website is down…?!?

This has a funny smell to it. The whole concept of forcing all these folks who spent up to $3,000 for tickets to this game onto dirty, slow, inefficient trains is so unfair.
That venue has a finite capacity. Each Sunday from August to December the venue absorbs those numbers of people, and when the game is over, they go away. They drive there, they walk (really) and some use mass transit. Whether they are there for the kickoff or not is largely up to the individuals.
The government is making itself even more nanny as time passes. If there are determined terrorists waiting to spoil this affair, nothing being done up to now will stop them. These self-labeled security arrangements will make some ticket people miss the whole game and make them into terrorists,

Just let people drive there. Jeez. I’ve been going to the Meadowlands for decades. Just let them drive on Sunday. And let them tailgate. And let them have a party.
