No derailments today.

Here in western Canada there were NO derailments, no one run over by a train, no cars were hit by a train.

They had a bad explosion in Council Bluffs Iowa in a UP machine shop. One man was killed. We weren’t so lucky south of Canada!

Mook

Again, STILL no derailments, but there was a report that someone skidded into a stop sign and the pole was bent and loss of paint was reported on the fender of a 1997 Plymouth van.

I agree with Mookie.

LOL,NOT YET!

HUMMM that’s very interesting //… I guess up there in Western Canada they haven’t experienced any horrific rail disasters like the state of PA has in the past and present. I guess here in the US we need to follow the example Canada has set.

An article in the January ‘Branchline’ magazine details the first installation of camera enforcement at a railway crossing in Strathcona County Alberta. It’s the first of its kind in Canada and is being initiated by the Transportation Development Centre,Transport Canada and Alberta Transportation. The crossing was chosen because of the previously recorded high rate of motor vehicle violations at the tracks.
For the record Branchline is a publication of the Bytown Railway Society and covers rail activity in Canada.

Day’s not over yet.

Us aviation types must be a tad more superstitious about things.

Or does everything stop at 1630 in Western Canada? [;)]

Hmmmmmm. Haven’t heard of anything today…

For all that’s worth…lol…
