My JLC GG-1 has suddenly stopped all sounds (CrewTalk, TowerCom, Whistle, Bell, RPMs idling noises, etc). The engine however does respond to my commands via Command Control because I can make it smoke, raise and lower the pantographs and go forward and reverse. I have replaced the battery with a new 9V, reset the locomotive and have checked to make sure the volume is up on both the engine itself and my Cab-2 remote. The only thing I notice differently is the faint “hissing” noise that changes when I adjust the manual volume knob directly on the engine. All of my other TMCC engines are working properly. Being that this is an extremely fragile and expensive engine, I have not looked into things any further. I thought I would check here first before bringing it to my Authorized Service Station.
