No Snow?

I would assume this is just probably a glitch wiht no remidy, but for some reason every time I try to run an activity while it’s snowing, it shuts off halfway through loading the simulation. It can be raining and it can be winter, but it can’t be snowing? is there and free download that’ll help this, or any other remidy?

Go to the troubleshooter, snow crashing MSTS is a well known oops. The fix is in it. Use the start menu to access it.

What exactly should I do in there then?

Noah

I am not at my computer with MSTS, so I am working off memory. in the MSTS section of the start menu, there should be a choice of Configure (something like that). Open that and you should get a little screen that has a few choices, the Troubleshooter should be one of them. Click on that and it should open a new window with a differnet problems on it. Snow causing crashes is one of them, click on that.

BTW, what are your computer specs? That has a large part of it. MSTS is a resource hog, it want the very best. I just built a new computer a couple of weeks ago and WOW, is it nice. I have run an activity to completion, the first time I have done that in ages.

Thanks alot Kevin, I’ll have to look into that more. We got our computer about 6-10 months ago. It’s a Gateway intel pentium 4 windows XP home addtion. That’s all I know off the top of my head, btu I can get the specific specs if you’d like.

You have enough computer to handle it. I have seen to many try to run MSTS with a computer that meets the bare minimums and then wonder why.

yeah, I have nothing to add but to only say thanks, I thought I was just alone with the snow thing. Coming from the icebox of minnesota, having no snow was just plain mean.

I finally got around to trying that, and it was so easy and worked too!! Thanks a bunch.
