Hi _ I have 2 BLI locos with the same problem. No sound except for the bell and horn… I reset them to factory default with no luck. The address did change to the default of 3. I am using a Digitrax DC52 and DB200 booster on a seperate programming track. None of the F functions work except F0, F1 and F2. Seems strange on 2 different locos. Any ideas?

Just checking you have not muted the sound? F8 toggle off should unmute.

There’s a diesel version also accessible from BLI website.
I assume you have a QSI equipped version? BLI’s “own” decoder isn’t a lot different of I recall correctly.
BLI website also has the manuals online for their newer decoders.
Correction, the link was to the Quantum Sound decoder manual. The QSI Decoder BLI are even older than that.
Did you reset using the magnet (or physical jumper on the board, if so equipped)?
It is possible to reset using CV only but that can get a little convoluted. Unless you reset using the magnet and cycling the power off and on you don’t get a reset.
Which BLI series? Paragon, Paragon 2, Paragon 3, Paragon 4?
