I keep getting this “warning” and an inability to post a response with a quote.
I can’t figure out when/why I get it sometimes and when/why I don’t get it others… it just annoys me…
Anyone know how to avoid this or get round it please? TIA [:P]

Matching quote block is as follows [ quote] text [ /quote]
Here;s a non-matching one [ quote] text [ /qoute]
See the difference?
Would I be correct in assuming that you’re editing the quoted passage, as in removing parts? Because I had a problem yesterday while doing the same thing. But it seems to be working now…

Same problem here. I ended up removing the user’s name from the quote boxes. It worked then

I wouldn’t be surprised if you are not only editing the quotes to remove extra stuff, but also the quote itself contains another quote. They’ve all got to match up.
And certain other special characters in the user=" " section will cause the problem as well. So if there are things like &, @, #, -, and _, try removing them and the problem might go away.
Thanks all [:D]
I often remove the masses of line spaces at the ends of quotes to try to make my overall post tidier. Sometimes I get away with this and sometimes I don’t.
I’ve similarly got away with quotes within quotes and one quote after another… sometimes.
What bugs me is that there seems to be no consistancy and I can’t see a simple way to either spot the problem when it happens or correct it.
I think it would help if the system could somehow highlight the bit it doesn’t like…
The recent upgrade of the Forum is certainly a massive improvement and I, for one, am much happier with it now. [^]
