Are there any of you out there who model railroads/railways other than US/Canadian protoype?
As a UK resident modeller I do both UK & US; my current layout is a Chicago based 8’ x 1’ plank (in US speak[:)]) but my next one will be even smaller and set in the UK in the 1990s.

Hi Steve, I am a Brit, living in the USA. I am modelling the CB&Q and Wabash railroads, but run a few British peices as well. All my old Hornby stuff from when I was a kid and some more recent acquisitions like the Mallard and a few Bachmann UK freight cars. I have one small section of my layout that I am planning to do a small English rural station scene. Something like the station on the North Somerset Railway.
Sorry Steve, there are no other Railways other than in North America . (which also includes Mexico) Didn’t you know that???

To answer Steve’s question though: I’m British and I have modelled British prototypes in the past - mainly 2ft narrow guage prototypes in 009 and 1:55 scale, I’ve never been interested in modelling British Rail - boring blue diesels and diesel railcars.
My two current projects are a Maine Central inspired 1950’s HO layout and a small modern image German exhibition layout in N scale.
I keed !! I keed !! Lighten up blokes , it was a joke! I for one, would like to see more information about non-N.A. railways, does anyone else in this great big world model trains? I would suppose each country has it’s own network and forums also??? Could there be forums in Bangladesh or Latvia, maybe Greenland, who knows?
Hi Steve- Among other things I collect O-Gauge Hornby, Bassett-Lowke and Leeds (but don’t run them). I also collect French O-gauge by Munier and Fournereau. My wife is Danish, and she and I have ridden quite a few Dani***rains (including steam) so I have been thinking about aquiring some 2-rail DSB equipment for my HO gauge layout. I really enjoy the not-so-modern European trains. My son now owns my large Hornby-Dublo collection! I never got around to building the H-D 3-rail display layout that I had planned on. ( I guess I should mention that my first wife was English!)
