I am new here and had a question.
Last weekend I found a 4 set model kit by Nor-West. Anyone have an idea how old it is? The set is a like a model airplane kit in that you assemble it with model glue and paint it. I work in plastics and am amazed there is no oxidation in the plastic. “The General” is partially assembled. The “hand car” bag is opened but unassembled. The bags on the “Cabbage Stack” and “Porter Switcher” are closed.

My Uncle & Aunt had a Drug and Gift store in a small country town and on one of my birthdays he sent me that same set. I believe it would have been about 1950 -52. But that would not tell when the set first came out, but it would be at least that old.

I just find this ad in a comics Sad Sack published in nov.1954 !
