So, besides having a new job as a cab driver, maybe Nora should teach photography.
Noted she has the photo of the day again.
Maybe Mike and Erik should take her along on their shoots?

I don’t think Nora charges.
So it is unfair to call her a cab driver. [B)]
But her shots are pretty good. She should loan me that new digital camera. [:D]
Erik and Mike can’t take her. If they did they would have to add her to their competition and it is already way tooo hard to choose just between their shots as it is. [;)]

Jim-
I don’t think being called a cab driver is nearly as insulting as some things van drivers are called, of course that’s up to Nora.
I remember we had “Sideswipe Sally” and “Sleepy Sam” who used to trundle us around for Ratzenburger. Both earned their nicknames after one or more crashes. I remember one morning riding in the back of Sally’s van and waking to the blast of a diesel horn next to me. I could easily have reached out the window and slapped that BIG rig on the fender. Sam was finally restricted to the yard van after his third wreck. Luckily nobody was killed or badly injured along the way…

Sleepy Sam – [:(] oh my
Glad to hear nobody was ever hurt while these two were operating the van.
I wasn’t considering “cab driver” a bad title. I have heard them called “limos” and thought that was a little nicer. Of course I bet it would be nice to really ride in a limo to the engine. [:p]
Yes Gentleman
she may advance in her railfan classes. She had so many questions and It was a pleasure to meet her Rick and Jay.

I hope Nora brings the camera with her on the job (there will be times when a driver is blocked, etc., and has nothing better to do than wait).
And, yes, sleep can be a problem (one of our crews reported a driver that could “barely stay awake” recently).
Now, pardon my ignorance, but how does one access the “photo of the day”?
Go to the title page of Trains.com, and scroll down to the bottom left.
Nora has had a a few of her shots showcased there.

Crud, they just changed photos from this morning…
Yeah Nora, you can teach me how to use my Digital Camra!
How do you send in your pictures for photo of the day?
The email address is right there on the POD page.
I like the idea of her learning photography

Thanks Ed! That photo was taken the day we met up with Joe in Fostoria. Fun day!
The job is going great…cab driver, van driver, taxi driver, I don’t care (one guy kept calling me “nice lady”). I’ve already had my training, plus three trips on my own, and everyone has been really nice so far. I’ve been able to get plenty of sleep. I can see how it would wear me out if I were working full time, though. Weekends are enough for me!

Mookie still has green all over her with envy! What a great job!!!
