National Public Radio aired a piece on August 7th about an automated spikedriver the Norfolk Southern uses that drives spikes into rail to hold the rail in place. It is one of their SoundClips: Audio Experiences stories.



Now that would be a neat sound bite to have stored on a decoder for a MOW section of a layout!

That would be pretty awesome. I’ve though about modeling a MoW crew though, but I had never given any thought to putting sound to it. If you had them working in a siding somewhere, that would be very plausible, and really, really cool. A great idea Ryan, glad you suggested it.
