Norfolk Southern donates GE B32-8 to museum

I wish Norfolk Southern’s predecessor, Southern Railway, had been this wise to preserve at least two of the six ALCO PA3’s it purchased in 1953. They were the last ALCO PA’s built.

Trust for National Mall listed at goodsearch.com .

The CEO of NS is a bit of a railfan.
Thanks!

Well done to the LSRHS and Ray Grabowski. Good to see another GE preserved, and so close to its home town.

Good of NS to make this donation

I know engineers do not love the B32-8 that much, but living near the NS I have always loved this locomotive. I am glad it will be preserved. NS seems to be getting back to loving trains and not operating a railroad, something old man Claytor was adamant about.
