I didn’t know about the Trees to Trains program, but I like it. It appears to a down-to-earth application of carbon-credit trading.
It’s great to hear about the American Chestnut Foundation. Good job NS.
For many years the Southern Railway System was involved in programs throughout the South to replant the forests that were being logged out for feed stock to paper mills. Just good business, as when the trees ere cut for pulp wood, the Southern was the hauler to the mill.
Yet another example of how Norfolk Southern is a good corporate citizen and “The Thoroughbred of Transportation”.
