I love the “V” stripes! I’m glade to see that NS isn’t afraid to make a good thing better.
This shows they care that the units look accurite and as original as possible. Just goes to show NS is a class act, keep it up guys!!!

The Lehigh Valley, my favorite. They had some wonderful paint schemes. I like the Cornell Red units the best.
NS is great to go back and enhance this locomotive. This one is my favorite so far followed by the Nickel Plate, then the Savannah and Atlanta (I always liked the tuxedo for some reason), and lastly the Erie Green. But the nose stripes really make a huge difference on this unit. The wide nose really demands something to be on it. I think that is why the Nickel Plate unit is my second favorite with the bold black and yellow stripes.
I’m glad they realized the ES44AC really didn’t look LV without the front safety stripes
