They definitely look a lot better than U Ps heritage collection. From what photos I have seen

ME TOO !

Top Shelf NS!! Very impressive.

I wish I could be there. How wonderful that must be.

I wish I could go there too. That way I wouldn’t have to worry about searching all over to photograph them, cuz I could get them all at once. My only complaint on this story is that I wish that this story listed all the unit numbers and which railroad they represented.

i wish i where there to. :(:frowning:

It would be interesting to know the logistics of bringing the 20 locomotives together in one place at one time.

Great news that Trains magazine will offer a special publication, Heritage Power. Count me in. I’d wager that back when these NS heritage roads still existed, there was never such a diverse assemblage of motive power and liveries as this. Historic, indeed!

I am on my way! From houton

Happy to see this.Would anybody here know if Wrinn is married

'll go along with the idea that it is quite a sight. But will CSX do anything special to keep those locos clean and shiny during their long and arduous service lives? Don’t hold your breath. And why is CSX doing all this? It doesn’t put a penny of profit on the bottom line now. I’d suppose it is for the public relations value of it all. CSX hasn’t been the best managed operation, although reports are that it is doing a better job now than it did as recently as five years ago. Is this a public-relations ploy to divert attention from some large problems? If this is the last gasp of some sort of nostalgic look backward, then all us railfans need to enjoy it while it lasts. CSX isn’t likely to have any sort of repeat performance.
