No. 611 would have fresh new scenery on the former Southern Railway subdivision between Chattanooga and Memphis. The occasion would offer No. 611 an opportunity to meet No. 4501.
The segment between Chattanooga and Huntsville is especially scenic with hills and mountains. Chase Cut begins a view of an antebellum mansion and old brick factories on the remaining four miles into Huntsville.
Can hardly wait for the day she she comes to Chicago. Any chance of a doubleheader with 765?
I live right across the street from the NS Crewe Yard office. She’ll be coming right by my front door on her way to Petersburg!!! It’s going to be a blast following her to Petersburg!

Extremely pleasing to see the broad support that this project has received – especially from NS itself. I stopped in to take a peek at the progress last November which left no doubt in my mind the locomotive would be back in steam.

How about a trip for 611 form Knoxville to Ashville and Cincinnati to Knoxville congratulations the magnificent Engine is back is back and get 4501 rolling again thank you Norfolk and Southern.
