North Dakota officials seek state-run inspection program
North Dakota can afford to and should inspect, after all, all that $ thats literally flowing there should cover the cost of a state govt. inspector being paid 6 figures to do so!
I have gotten cynical enough in my old age to applaud this move by ND and hope and believe other states will follow. My cynicism is because I believe the huge oil and gas companies have most Federal people and agencies under their thumb if not outright bribery contracts in all three branches down to the employees or lack of employees to do the inspection and hold oil and gas companies to their responsibilities Each state has a different stake so they may be able to make it safe for the populations and the railroads…
