Not getting email notifications anymore

Since the establishment of the new format, my email notifications/subscriptions have ceased. Is it just me?

Most of my e-mails from model trains show up with a blank page. I have reply to them and tell them but I get know reply. I don’t know what the deal is.

Still not getting any emails from the forum for those topics I’m subscribed to.

I went to the “forum alerts” link on the right hand margin of the page, and assured that I am subscribed (ie. the value is “yes” for the Layouts and layout building topic.

Can an administrator of the forums speak to this? Obviously, not a huge priority, but liked getting the emails for posts to the forums.

I thought I wasn’t getting any but at 9:05 this morning I got 47 emails telling me that people had responded to the thread since I posted it. Not sure if the system holds them until a designated time by design or perhaps that portion of the new system just came on line

I’d be happier if they would default e-mail notification to OFF. There’s enough stuff in my inbox as it is.

You can eliminate all e-mail notification if you edit your “Profile”.

I usually prefer the automatic notification: if I’m interested-enough in a topic to reply in the first place, I’m generally interested-enough to continue following the conversation.

One thing about this new format which I really like is that clicking on an e-mail notification takes me right to that post, rather than merely the page upon which that post may be found.

Well, I don’t mind getting notifications about new posts in subjects I’m subscribed to, a little less happy with gettin notifications for forums I’m not subscribed to, but may be interested in, but the thing that clogs my e-mail is tha\t unlike every other hobby related site I’m on, this site notifies me EVERY time someone replies to a forum I’m interested in. I don’t have any problem with getting a nnotification once a day, like all the others do, but, c’mon, getting a notification for each and every reply?Sometime 15 notifications for the same post in one day, and large numbers of notifications for each of maybe 5 or 10 forums?
