NOT Under Arrest!

For those of you who know about the recent events of my life (i.e. the Under Arrest! thread), the lead officer called me last night and appologized saying that they were wrong, I WAS on public property, I wasn’t doing anything wrong, and he said he’s sorry that they may have over reacted. No charges are going to be filed by the police department or the department of homeland security.

I’m cool with that! I just want to walk away and not look back. [X-)]

Please, lets not get this thread deleted. I’m mearly giving you all an update.

AND PLEASE…MAKE SURE YOU’RE ON PUBLIC PROPERTY WHEN TAKING PHOTO’S!!!

I am also happy to hear of your “reprieve”, but the fact that they are in a position to have to apologize is troubling. What went wrong? Moreover, what will be done to prevent this occurance in the future?

I saw another thread on this forum where somebody was standing smack in the middle of the ROW snapping pics!!! After your original thread in regards to your situation, you think folks would have learned something (assuming they saw it).

Not CSX. It was the local police that called on behalf of themselves and the Departmnet of Homeland Security. CSX has yet to be heard from, but as far as the local police and DHS goes, I’m not in any trouble with them. CSX police is not expected to be heard from. Besides, they’d not only have to prove that I was in the wrong now, but also that the local authorities and the DHS were wrong. I don’t see that happening.

I think the nightmare is over!

You obviously aren’t in Wisconsin, sounds to me like your police department just learned what railfanning is, you naughty terrorist you!

Been me those folks would be hearing from my attorney about wrongful arrest-you was given a summons-and violation of my civil rights.

Sorry guys that is inexcusable for professionals to do such things and it will happen again…

I know how you feel, but I’d rather them rough up the bad guys then me rough them up.

Everyone makes mistakes. So they made one. No harm, no foul. I’m just gettin’ on down the road (a little wiser!).
