I am saving it to peruse on a long commute next week. But I love the engine-bashing article - a great article extension with pictures is on the main CTT site.
Mine came yesterday. I was down at the stage stop waiting for it. Montana is the frontier so we never know when it will arrive. As an issue it looks great. I have done little more than skim through it, but tonight I will give it a good read. Lots of layout pictures and that’s what I like!
Mine came yesterday, too !! I’m saving it to read at work, though. I can’t wait to see the ideas on scenery in there ! That’s where I am really behind things & need to get in gear !! Looks like a great issue though !!
Thanks, John
Got mine today. It should be great reading as usual.
Stan.
Still waiting. Guess I have to wait for the gang at the post office to finish with it.[:(]
Best issue I’ve read in a long time!
To OgaugeOverlord and all at CTT;
This is one GREAT issue! Thanks for getting back to the old CTT! Wonderful
tinplate article. Fantastic “bashing/hybrid” loco article! \\this is what the hobby
is all about! MORE! MORE! MORE! Even the wife likes it (she has her own
collection of PreWar and PostWar, too).
BTW…She REALLY enjoyed the Carmen Webster article, as did I!

I already commented on the coffee pot, but I have to agree - one of the best CTTs I’ve read!
Yep, got mine today, too, and like the others I would agree that this is a great issue! The article on the prewar O gauge layout looks good (haven’t read it yet), the piece on the Marx layout was fantastic, and it’s nice to finally see a review of one of MTH’s RTR Standard gauge sets. A little bit of something for everyone in this issue. Kudos to Neil, Roger, Bob, etc.! [:D]
Regards,
Clint
Got mine yesterday but I haven’t looked at it yet. Sounds like it is going to be an interesting read.
Carmen Webster, the first lady of Model Railroading, is the title of a Roger Carp article in this month isssue of CTT. I enjoyed reading this well written article, which is a change of pace from the typical articles that appear in both CTT and OGR. The story was especially interesting given the many years that have pasted since Carmen was active in the post WWII era. As always Roger’s writing is so interesting and well done. Jerry
Hope mine come soon, sounds great!
Thanks for the feedback everyone. Sincerely, Neil Besougloff editor
I read my copy over the weekend. I’ll agree with the others in that it is a great issue. The best in a while, and yes, it did remind me of the older copies of CTT I have. The whole issue was just packed with great articles. Neil, I’m finding those short wiring articles to be very helpful. Now I know how to hook up our semaphore. Congratulations to all who made the November issue such a good one. It’s a gem. Great work! Jim
