November issue

I just pulled the November issue of Trains out of the mail box.

Nice changes inside.

Locomotive detail freaks check out the two page photo/ graphic layout of the Metra MP36.

The magazine lay out and graphics are updated, and I personally like the change.

Page 26 and 27 will enlighten you about track inspection cars, and Jim Wrinn’s “From the Editor” should provoke quite a few postings from a certain resident.

My personal favorite was the Metra MP36 story…I like the machines.

Hope Trains plans on doing similar spots on other locomotives…wouldn’t mind seeing the MK1500D or the “New GP20” show up in a future issue.

Ed - If you get the November issue of Railfan & Railroad there is an article on the former MILW rail trail…one can only imagine what will be happening on the FM band after that…

LC

My guess is the usual.

Static, interspaced by a few frantic blasts, followed by more static.

Funny, but the static often makes more sense.

I only listen to that “bandwidth” when everything else is slow…

Can’t wait until mine arrives.

Hey!–your copy must have gone through here on the way to Texas, right?

Oh, well…I just bought my copy of Locomotive, and haven’t opened it yet.

P.S. I can hear crackling…

And once again you are right on the mark.[:D][:D]

MY my, a logical, coherent, and to the point extract, highlighting the November issue.

A real shame no one else thought to do likewise.

Mines still in the mailbox. Should have it in my hands in about 45 minutes, though.

I’m afraid my FM reception is a little garbled, too.
