Got to 80 yesterday. Got one major part of my attic project completed. That gets me closer to my layout building. Got things to do in town today so that work will be delayed today. All have a great day, post some more of those good pictures and God bless you all.
Good morning Chief!
Looks like it is going to be a good day in Buckeye Land today. It is 45 degrees and cloudy. Been busy finishing the layout upstairs and will be building a Garden Railroad this summer with Mrs. Buckeye Riveter.
Gosh!! Can not wait to see those pictures. Would love to do one of those. Wife has massive flower gardens and etc. Train running through that would be something.
I’m also thinking about setting something up outside…down here you could operate trains 12 months out of the year. I’ll probably elevate mine and keep it off the ground because I’ve heard the preparatory groundwork required can be pretty formidable. Anyway, this is what I’m looking at…

You need topay to view my pictures, I don’t give anything for free. Plus if you use them, you need to pay me royalalitys… just like UP…
Chief,
I thought you meant you got to 80, meaning your age.
Pretty soon you can share with us your layout progress like I’m doing. Even with all the rework it is still imo the most fun of model railroading. It’s the journey, not the destination, as the cliche goes.

Are they worth $18.00…???
JD
JD,
just $16.00, plus a $2.00 transaction fee.
LHV - $16.00 is fair, but no way in hell am I payin’ any transaction fee! (wink)
Hey Jim,
Look at MTH gauge one, then you can use your DCS outside.

Hey Chief,
If you are out there, this one is for you:
Two Indians and a Tennessee Hillbilly were walking in the woods, all of a
sudden one of the Indians ran up a hill to the mouth of a small cave.
“Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!” he called into the cave and then he listened very
closely until he heard an answering, ‘Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!’ He tore off
his
clothes and ran into the cave.
The Hillbilly was puzzled and asked the other Indian what that was all
about.
Was the other Indian crazy or what?
“No,” said the Indian. “It is our custom during mating season when Indian
men
see a cave, they holler ‘Wooooo Wooooo! Wooooo!’ into the opening. If they
get an answer back, it means there is a girl in there waiting to mate.”
Just then they saw another cave. the Indian ran up to the opening of the
cave, stopped, and hollered, “Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!” Immediately, there
was an
answering ‘Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!’ from deep inside the cave. He tore off
his
clothes and ran into the
cave.
The Hillbilly wandered around in the woods alone for a while, and then he
came upon a great big cave. As he looked in amazement at the size of the
huge
opening, he was thinking, “Hoo, man! Look at the size of this cave! It is
bigger
than those the Indians found. There must be some really big, fine women in
this cave!”
He stood in front of the opening and hollered with all his might “Wooooo!
Wooooo! Wooooo!” He grinned and closed his eyes in anticipation, and then he
heard
the answering call, “WOOOOOOOOO! WOOOOOOOOO! WOOOOOOOOO!”
With a gleam in his eyes and a smile on his face, he raced into the cave,
tearing off his clothes as he ran.
The following day, the headline of the local newspaper read…
Get ready, this will kill ya)
“NAKED HILLBILLY RUN OVER BY TRAIN”

Me no close to 80 [age wise]. Some say too young to retire. Me, I think I’m too old to retire. I’m lazy. [:D] Been to Raleigh [city] to fight traffic and eat with guys I use to work with. All you can eat Mongolian Stir Fry. [:p] You guys are doing good on here today. Now can I start a fight. What is the best track to lay? [remembering the young days when I was told, tracks you don’t make are tracks you don’t have to cover [:D]] I talked to one train shop yesterday and she said Gargraves. One to day [snooty fellow] said Atlas. Lady working for this man was trying to push Fast Track. Lady yesterday said use some brand of switches I had not heard of [I don’t think] and this guy says use Atlas. Lady yesterday sells only Lionel and MTH with some K-Line. No Williams as he tried to do some folks in with something about real-estate??? Guy today sells only Lionel and K-Line [but belittles K-Line]. Had two MTH CSX Cabooses for 50% off. Says he dumped MTH. This can get real confusing.
Chiefster…I’m gonna predict you’ll choose Atlas…but wait until all the votes come in.
Jim (The best tracks are those you cover after being naughty) Duda
you like trains?
talk to me, I have a WHOLE garage full… you can HAVE FREE as much as you can carry away.
email for directions.
OH Lehigh Valley, maybe you are like the guy at train shop today. I asked him if he carried Gargraves and he replied that there was a lot of used Gargraves track around for sale at a good price. Snooty SOAG. Had everything in his store at retail and above.
No, no gargraves… i run atlas.
Thought you folks might like to see my newest diesel…just arrived yesterday. I charged it overnight, and fired it up tonight…Perfect! Just might be a fine engine to pull some “politically incorrect/correct” cars…hmmmmm. (wink)
Anyway, it’s the first loco I have with DITCH LIGHTS…I can keep them on constantly, have them flash continously, turn them off, or have them flash only when I hit the horn - then they go back to continuously on after a few seconds. Love it! And it smokes great, too! Gotta love the red, white, and blue - Stars and Stripes forever!
Jim (Oh say can you see…) Duda
That is a real nice SD60 MAC. Keep it polished.
I have never seen Burlington Northern in Central Ohio. Did they really paint one like this?
Supposedly they did to honor our troops’ involvement in the 1991 Gulf War…
…at least according to MTH…read on.

Pretty and good old buddy. I got my two Williams sitting upstairs. Got a MTH caboose yesterday. Too late to call Marty and see if I can get the NS caboose he has. Maybe tomorrow if he is open. Got some things on wish list on MTH site [one is John Deeres on flat]. Chief [loves his John Deere] Eagles
