Anyone know the color scheme for a 1890’s NWPRR loco or rolling stock?

I’m starting to consider my own RR. Shanamber Railroad, has a nice ring to it doncha think. Maybe a green-yellow color scheme.

How about Brunswick Green with a maroon or dark red trim. Seems like a number of Western railroads at the time period you’re modeling favored these types of colors.

But if you are running multiple trains they will be the SARR’s. Better wear your breathing mask. [:D]

I do think it has a nice ring to it though.

I might have to rethink it. I could do AmbeShane, but then it would be ASRR, and well, I just can’t do it.

Oh yeah, and there is some good news: the line was originally owned jointly by Southern Pacific and AT&SF. Which means one would likely see some AT&SF motive power there.

There is, however, some bad news: the NWP was not incorporated until 1907. So there would be no 1890’s NWP locomotives or rolling stock, as the line had not yet been built.

Nothing to write home about. My trains have not arrived so I am stuck sharing my daughters. I could have run the S1, but … The UT1’s worked just fine. I need to learn them. I think I told you I’m building a six-track passenger terminal. I nailed off the section crawling up into tight spaces and trying not to put my knee in the turntable. Next week I’m going to start work on the platforms.

I’ve pretty much written off the Bachman 4-8-4. It didn’t run so wel tonight. I slows in the curves–seems to generate a lot of friction. I’m going to keep a weather eye peeled for a good loco for my daughter and dump this one on Ebay. Any suggestions? Everyone in the club is running something different, so it doesn’t have to be PRR. Need DCC, sound would be a plus.
