Now spray paint - a Sherwin-Williams product

I’m always looking for inexpensive paints to use in the hobby. While at my local Ace Hardware store and happened upon some inexpensive spray paint. It’s the Now label, a product from Sherwin-Williams. For a regular sized rattle can, it was under $2 a can; well the price was right. I bought 2 cans or flat white. After priming, I sprayed a small diner model. Wow! In the past, I’ve found that covering with white is one of the hardest to cover, without bleed through. It covered completely and evenly with 2 thin coats, without filling in or covering details, and it dries to the touch in less than 20 minutes and is dead flat!

Rustoleum white primer is also very good, full coverage in one coat. Will have to keep an eye out for the Now cans, are they flat or gloss?

They come in either finish; gloss or flat. I use the flat, since most of what I will paint with a rattle can are structures.

Marlon,
Thanks for the tip, worth checking out!
What you said about coverage, really matters!
Many paints today, if they were regulated by any standards, may be considered Candies… Ha hah…
Yeah, We have all been there…
Again thanks for the tip, I’ll check it out!

PS: How did it take Weathering???

I will definitely have to check these out. They sound well suited for larger projects like structures. As the previous poster mentioned, I to am curious as to how they took to weathering and what techniques you used in said weathering.

Thanks for the tip!

Regards, Don.
