Ain’t she a Beaut! Fresh out of the shops
U bet !! It’s a shame for us model railroaders that there’s about 20 different models of UP Challengers out there, but not one model of these NP beauties!!
Yep youre right that class was a reat beaut Its is a shame that these along with the CNW H class and E class were never modeled fro H O Scale
Actually I think sunset models is coming out with a affordable 4-8-4 A-4,A-3, and A-5 that is brass scale capatable for about 650.00, on the steep side but really a nice locomotive… your right though, I love these challengers and nobody makes them except brass imports…
Is NP 5125 scheduled to do any live steam runs?
LOL … sure come over to my house!
I think actually the 5125 had a lot of history to her, really bad luck history. A famous photographer for the NP railroad Warren McGee stated “Everytime there was Break in two, derailment, accident, the 5125 was there!”
like in the book Playing With Trains, Co. Midland 22 was a “bad luck” engine. it created a lot of wrecks. But you could model 5125 with a C&O Allengeny, well, maybe.
