It is nice to see that NS is planning on investing in capital improvements and up 6% from last year, or $1.425 billion.

With approximately 71% going toward maintaining the railroad for continued safe and reliable operations, and the remaining 29% budgeted toward the growth and productivity of the railroad.

It is a hopeful budget, and if their revenue trends support the Forward-Looking Statements, then NS should have no problem following the plan!

Let’s see in 2008 Revenue projections for the 1st quater. I think with the economy slowing down pace. I think we are going to see cut in capital expenses.[banghead] I hope they don’t keep painting over the blue units.[%-)]
