I have no idea of the exact details in this transaction, however, normally employees on the affected territory are given the option of maintaining employment with the selling carrier at other locations on the carriers system, or going to work with the new operating entity with whatever work rules and pay structure the new entity sees fit to implement. Historically, short line operators do not pay anything near what Class I carriers are paying their personnel.
