NS Coal Power Plants

Does anyone know any coal fired power plants in the mountainous region of Virginia served by Norfolk Southern.

I don’t know who serves these, but here are some: http://www.energy.vt.edu/vept/electric/plantlocations.asp

Trains magazine did a feature on that which included a map for all the railroads in the U.S within the past few years.

The big coal-fired power plant at Glen Lynn, Virginia is a good example. This is right at the border between Virginia and West Virginia, right where the US 460 highway crosses. The N&S (former N&W) main line is running right along the New River there, and it is right where the Virginian tracks used to soar over the river on a high bridge. The plant used to have its own switcher, but I haven’t been there in years now. One real tall smokestack; hoppers of coal pushed up on a trestle for dumping, and then a drag-line style crane put the coal into a huge pile to await the need.

One could get an overview of the place from the bluff above without trespassing, and one could also walk down along the river.
