Yesterday, The Associated Press reported that 14 cars of an 83 car Norfolk Southern train derailed in Chilhowie, VA. About 20,000 gallons of beer spilled from three of the derailed cars.
Squirrels in the area are showing rather erratic behavior.

An accident on the Interstate near here recently involved a tractor-trailer full of Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream. At least it was full before the accident…

it would have been halarious if the beer made it to the stream, went into the resivour, and a whole town was drunk! lol!
Several years ago the Maine Central derailed near Colby College outside of Waterville, Maine. The car was fairly filled with quarter kegs of full beer. By the time crews got there, most of the kegs were gone. They were seen around the area for years as table supports, props, and other things.
