That will be recorded by the on-board recorders (video and others) on the geometry car and the locomotive.
I predict an expensive claim for Fed-Ex and one less CDL qualified truckdriver on the road.
Fed-Ex driver must have thought the DHL ads were training films. LOL
My question is what the shipping tracker will say the progress is for the packages on that truck. Maybe “Splattered on SD70M-2”? [:o)]
Isnt it funny that the witnesses ALWAYS say the crossing signals wasnt working, even though in this case, the train stopped within the crossing circuit, and they were clearly working as seen in the video. Somehow its always the railroads fault and not the driver of the vehicle…give me a break.
Do not hold your breath on that license suspension. I saw a show on the Amtak “City of New Orleans” cra***hat resulted in 11 fatalities caused when they hit a steel truck. As of the time of the show being filmed the driver had felony charges pending but still had his CDL. [2c] As alway ENJOY P.S. He said the lights and gates were not working yet they were broken in the down position.
That driver ended up going to the big house for a little time to think about his actions. I sure hope no one’s Slides were in that truck.
From looking at the photograph, they would only be damaged if they were being transported inside the front bumper.
Thanks for the link. I love watching news reporters from small town TV stations.
Too bad there are hardly ever any railfans at the scene. At least they wouldn’t blame the railroad. Unless it was UP. [}:)]
