The GP-50’s that Norfolk Southern are converting to GP-38-3’s, will they use the same engine block or a new one. Any other changes, beside chopping the nose.

probaly the same block just pull the turbo off it.

The middle cooling fan is removed resulting in 2 fans with a large space between them
