The first of 10 heritage SD70ACes were supposed to be delivered to NS in late April. But due to delays with Caterpillar/Progress ramping up production at Muncie, the first heritage SD70ACe won’t be delivered until late May. Unlike the heritage ES44ACs, SD70ACes will be painted in heritage schemes directly from the plant in Muncie.
And we all must remember the old adage, “Good things come with time.”

Wish they were all going to be GE’s. EMD’s nose design of the past 10 years or so isn’t going to look as nice with some of these schemes as GE’s would’ve.
