NS OCS

Norfolk Southern’s office car train came thru Danville, VA at 08:40 4-2-2008 south bound. It had all four of the F units plus 15 office cars. REAL NICE LOOKING TRAIN.

Headed for some wining and dining at the Masters…

wine and dine gee there is more booze on that train than most liquor stores have.

Would there be alcohol serverd on the OCS train? if the rail employess on the train are doing railroad business would it be a Rule G violation? I know Norfolk Southern has a strict zero tolerance policy.

Does anyone know if this train will travel through Columbia, S.C. on the R line or will it be routed some other way?

Should leave Monday if everything goes right. Should go to Columbia and Charlotte by via R Line. Of course it could go to Macon or Savannah avoiding Columbia.

The business train could probably pack all the booze NS felt necessary, as long as they have a party permit and there is no charge for it, which would make it “liquor by the drink” and bring in all kinds of ABC (Alcoholic Bev. Control) regulations.

Besides, who’s gonna hassle a bunch of RR execs, financiers and hardcore fans for a one-time deal?

Yes there is alcohol served on this train and no its not a rule g violation, what employee is drinking? the people in the rear are CEO types and thier friends this train is going to be parked at louisville for the derby along with cn train and a few others that head in. No permit is needed its on private property . The officials that ride in front with the crew 6 figure managment also. ya dont mess with the ceo train

Cool,Thanks for the info. I thought that i read in an artical once that the was no alcohol on the office car trains during “official” business. i guess that refers to inspection trips and the such. I guess a trip to the derby wouldn’t be “official” business. I would like to see these trains. Is anyone on here going to get some pics of this and the CN train?
