NS reports record third quarter results
I would like for someone to address the efficacy of re-laying some of the double track that was taken up through east Tennessee 25-30 years ago, supposedly because of tax advantages. The right-of-way is still there, and one frequently sees trains stopped at the end of double track, waiting on a signal.
