Why the change of heart?
I thought NS wasn’t going to pay for any maintenance, because they wanted to sell the line to the State of Michigan.
They need to get this figured out before July. I want to ride the 110mph train!
Not sure who is paying, but the work train I saw between Albion and Jackson was 100% Norfolk Southern. I feel that the prior article was misleading in the slant, my interpreation, that it was an arbitrary NS move to foul up Amtrak.
Ms. McGauley, the 110 MPH segment is entirely west of Kalamazoo. The area where this work is happening has never had 110 (but it will in a few years).
