I saw an add for the NS over the weekend. Saw it twice once on CNN and then I think MSNBC. I show trees lifting containers of moving trucks on an road and placing them on empty container cars on an NS train. The add claimed that they take a lot trucks of the road every year, I can not remember the number they claimed. I think this add was aimed at the general public touting how eco freindly the NS and all railroads are.
I’m waiting for the UP eco ad…we are reducing polution by keeping our trains parked.[8D]
That’s because the UP is “Building America.” I should imagine it’s very hard to build a whole country with moving parts. Heck, I don’t think I could even build a log cabin if the Lincoln Logs were moving! [:p]
…The NS add is kinda interesting and I hope it gets more airtime…depicting dragging freight off crowded hiways and putting it on parallel freight lines… {NS}, and freeing up space for the public to travel on the hiway…Makes sense, lets do it…
My opinion of the ad is the same as M/car. That is get eco friendly & ship via rail instead of by truck clogging our roads. [:o)][:D][:p]
