NS veterans’ locomotive sidelined
Nothing different than any other locomotive. The shops will have it back on track in no time! ( 
pun intended)
Bad Traction motor. Locomotive is back in service.

These engines are junk. NS took rebuilding into their own hands and ruined a decent engine. The cabs are noisy, and awkward, various controls are located out of reach from the crew, the interior lights are blinding at night and do not dim. The overall appearance of the cab is just unsightly from the outside. They sort of remind me of the BQ30-7, those weird engines GE made for Seaboard/L&N.
I hope it returns to service, otherwise NS wasted a bunch of money for nothing doing this special paint job for the military showing it off.

I believe it is currently in Detroit… Guess it’s fixed.
