DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHATS UP WITH THIS? i KNOW THEY ABONDON THIS GRADE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, BUT WITH ALL THERE NEW TRAFFIC, HAVE THEY STARTED RE-USEING IT? IF SO, HAS ANYBODY SEEN ANY ACTION OR PHOTOS?
I have seen no annoucements that the NS has begun reusing the Saluda grade. [:o)][:)][:p]

I hear that the line has now been cut, - another stone in its coffin. However, the line is still listed as “Rail Banked” and NS doesn’t seem to even entertaining any thoughts of abandoning it or selling it so that the Carolina Heritage Line folks could attempt to start-up the tourist Operation thay have been trying for, for years. NS is just letting sit there and die a S L O W lingering death. I assume that they are letting it sit there so that we railfans will forget or lessen in our desire to see it alive again. Thereby, making destroying it easier and less newsworthy, whith all the supporters gone.
