I missed that one. Glad Mr. Guse caught it.

Maybe we need a quantum leap in faith that it will all turn out all right.

2013?

James R Livesey from UK, it is an issue with the TARDIS landing nearby, causing the time line to fracture by exactly one year. At least according to some reports. Personally I believe Wesley Crusher was taking the Enterprise out for a joy ride when Picard wasn’t paying attention and accidentally altered the time line by exceeding the maximum warp of the engines.

Trains: I think your intern ‘proofreaders’ (i.e. cheap help on weekends and holidays) meant 30 Dec 2013. DPM rolls eternally! Anyhoo, the NTSB interim report was pretty quick. The final report should be in by 2017, if not later, and not be published or noted upon.

The NTSB is a very professional organization of people. They don’t speculate on the cause of an accident. While it may seem easy to point to obvious evidence, it isn’t necessarily the end of the story. It takes time to pore through the accumulation of information that is generated by data recorders and other sources, as well as witness accounts and applicable rules/procedures in order to get to the elemental factors of an accident, determine a cause, and make recommendations. They leave no stone unturned when it comes to getting the facts. This process often takes a year or more to complete. We should also take into account that the NTSB does not have a large staff. They are working on multiple investigations at any given time. If you look at their website, there are several accident dockets in process. I trust they will post the results of the investigation on their website when it is completed.

Re: Jeffrey Guse’s comment.

I LOVE IT!
